  • To secure the long-term capital funding of an early stage business and to lead the business development activities

Scope
  • Some university professors had developed a technology to improve emissions from diesel engines
  • The business which they had subsequently created was on the verge of insolvency following the withdrawal of £3m of government funding
  • Cairneagle worked closely with the founders, with a senior partner in an interim management role, to develop a cash management plan and create a long-term business plan. We were also retained in a business development role

Outcome
  • We successfully raised an interim funding from existing shareholders
  • A senior Cairneagle team negotiated contracts with major automotive manufacturers to use the technology in their vehicles
