  • To create a website to help growth businesses find the right advice, service providers, employees and funding

Scope
  • A frustrated entrepreneur approached Cairneagle with an idea for a web-based community to help SMEs overcome the pains of growing their businesses
  • In return for a majority stake, Cairneagle provided seed funding, consulting support and interim management
  • Cairneagle created the business model and plan, carried out market research, recruited a CEO, CTO, and business development team, and helped out with project management and developing commercial partnerships

Outcome
  • The website launched in Summer 2009
  • A Cairneagle partner was retained as interim CEO to develop the business and manage the technology roll-out prior to a series A funding round
